In ~/Documents I have 4GiB of mostly .c source files in various revisions, for a total of 189833 files. In other directories I have 5 photos in .jpg, and couple of manuals in PDF format. After about two or three hours of IO after login I noticed ~/.cache/tracker/meta.db-wal had grown to 31GiB. At this point I killed tracker processes, removed this file and disabled tracker for this session. This was all on 5400 RPM 2,5" laptop drive. > Is that the default F16 config?
