Attaching Samsung ML printers (e.g. ML-1660) registers such a printer with an URI as usb://... . But its's not possible to work with such a printer :-( The only way is to use the Samsung package UnifiedLinuxDriver_0.86.tar.gz. It installs such a printer too with an URI as usb://..., but then it is fully operable. Additionally, no splix package available in F15. On the other hand, the attach process in *Ubuntu 11.04* leaves a fully operable printer without any need for interaction.
