You didn't pay for it, and you are not responsible for providing the time and effort to maintain it. You are supplying software, for free, that they may choose to use. You don't have the right to prevent anyone from using anything they damn well please... even KDE. If they have a need to run third-party software it is outside of your area of control. Deal with it. Once of the reasons it is called free software is that folks are free (as in freedom) to do what they want with it. That includes making mistakes because they do something wrong or ill advised. Similarly, they don't have the right to demand that you drop everything and fix a problem of their own making. They can request that you fix legitimate problems within your packages, but are subject to your ability and choice to do so.
