Can you check /var/log/Xorg.0.log , and see what that says? > I'm wondering because before F10 was installed, and I even did not need > to setup a modeline. Everything was automatically configured by X.org. If your monitor is actually capable of 1280x1024 (*properly* capable - if it's an LCD whose native resolution is 1024x768, this behaviour is not a bug, it's correct), then it's certainly a bug for X not to detect this, and you should file it: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_debug_Xorg_problems -- Adam Williamson Fedora QA Community Monkey IRC: adamw | Fedora Talk: adamwill AT fedoraproject DOT org http://www.happyassassin.net -- devel mailing list devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/devel
