Thanks. Can you maybe also give me some arguments, why I should get the
project to change from the Intel license? There is also a huge actively
maintained project using that license and it also states that it is a
BSD-style license:

I just checked and the main difference between the New BSD license
(no advertising, 3 clause) is, that it also adds a note about export
regulations. So afaics, if it was not explicitly be banned from Fedora,
then one could use it just with the BSD shortname afaics. This is very
confusing.
