I would very much appreciate this. I use Google Fi for mobile, which is
pay-as-you-go for data. Although in Covid Times I'm not out and about so
much, I still use it for backup, like that time during the Nest conference
that my cable internet died and I had to finish my keynote talk over mobile.
It'd definitely be nice for things which aren't actually urgent to not
consume data when tethered.
