thread, the suspend-then-hibernate behavior is not really

This needs to be disabled in systemd, as I mentioned in the previous thread.
This means it would still work in GNOME if somebody enables the feature
in systemd, as would be expected.
Various people have suggested in the discussion to make this opt-in
rather then completely disable it.
Opt-in would mean making this an option in the control-center's
power-settings pane, which clearly makes this something to fix
on the GNOME side.
This is a policy decision, what you are suggesting is simply
completely disabling the mechanism provided by systemd that
seems wrong.
