Yes, it recovered fine and it was from USB. We'll test optical media as well.

Please note that this might be hardware specific. I'm quite sure I remember a situation in the past when I suspended Live running from DVD (by accident) and it was frozen on resume (the DVD didn't spin up). But we'll see whether we can reproduce this reliably, now that this situation is quite likely to happen.


We've tested on 2 desktop machines using optical media, on the first one resume works fine using both SATA connected drive and USB connected drive, but on the second one the resume fails (using USB connected drive, it doesn't have a SATA drive so that case wasn't tested). After resume, the DVD doesn't spin up and all disk reads fails (therefore you can run anything). The bug is reported here:
