This feature will be removed in future -snip- Sounds like you're building with GCC 3. I don't know its status on HP-PA, but I had serious trouble getting a stable kernel with GCC 3 on sparc64 when I initially moved to ext3. I now build with egcs 2.92.11 (available as egcs64 in Debian), and it's solid as a rock, to wit: $ uname -a Linux blorp 2.4.17 #1 Mon Jan 7 11:54:07 GMT 2002 sparc64 unknown $ uptime 13:47:10 up 42 days, 1:14, 7 users, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00 I rarely got more than a week's uptime with a GCC 3 kernel, even with the tiny loads my Ultra 5 shoulders. -- ///////////////// | | The spark of a pin <sneakums@zork.net> | (require 'gnu) | dropping, falling feather-like. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ | | There is too much noise.
