Backup is sort-of a rite of passage: You need to lose something valuable once, before you take it seriously. The strong wording at the beginning of the FAQ is no accident. I still expect that for most people it will not be enough. Seems to be some kind of fundamental human limitation that can only be overcome through painful experience.
