It looks fine to me. I was able to open old disks with it. And I've
also run a small script that systematically compared the output of
loop-aes and dmcrypt for different settings (cipher, keylength,
keymode, offset/iv computation,...). 

Some features are missing (key size 160 for dmcrypt, and various
losetup-switches (phash,itercountk), but it's unclear, if anyone use
them. ( At least as long as loop-aes is still maintained, it's  IHMO
not necessary to support exotic settings )
