The main change is that cryptsetup releases are now maintained with help of Red Hat device-mapper/lvm developers (probably mostly me for now:-). Thanks Clemens Fruhwirth for agreement on this.
It's great that this found a maintainer, this tool is too important to end up dead.
* Retain readahead of underlying device. [Milan Broz]
Can't check if this works, as all readahead values here are equal to the default (including my hard drive's value).
* Display device name when asking for password. (thanks to Till Maas) [Milan Broz]
Works and looks good.
* Use remapping to error target instead of calling udevsettle for temporary crypt device. [Milan Broz]
Thank you, I've been waiting for this. We've been using udevsettle for a while now and it seems everything is faster with the new method. As I only open one device nowadays, I can't verify if it fixes the bug that was the reason for introducing udevsettle.
This rc seems solid so far, but I only tried luksDump and luksOpen. I hope this can be released soon.
