Hi Milian, > Probably different issue, but please try to use this patch too: > http://www2.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/agk/patches/2.6/editing/dm-crypt-add-cond_resched.patch Yes, I tried the patch. Still hangs. > please could you send output of "echo t >/proc/sysrq-trigger" > - in syslog, (run when system in hang) I've uploaded the output, once with the vanilla -rc kernel, once with your patch. The third file is the whole syslog for one system boot: http://datenparkplatz.de/DiesUndDas/syslog-tail.txt File 1: tailed syslog after "echo t >/proc/sysrq-trigger"; vanilla 2.6.25-rc4 kernel http://datenparkplatz.de/DiesUndDas/syslog-tail_patched-kernel.txt File 2: tailed syslog after "echo t >/proc/sysrq-trigger"; patched kernel 2.6.25-rc4 with dm-crypt-add-cond_resched.patch http://datenparkplatz.de/DiesUndDas/syslog-FULL_patched-kernel.txt File 3: full syslog; patched kernel 2.6.25-rc4 with dm-crypt-add-cond_resched.patch > Is it reproducible without loop involved? Sorry, I couldn't test this today. I don't have a free partition on my harddisk that I could use. (And I still remember one rather traumatizing incident I once had when using "dd" on my harddisk and mixing up some partition numbers...) If you want me to, I could borrow a USB pendrive and give it a try. But not before saturday, I'm afraid.
