Hi there! I used to have my homedir on a LUKS partition. This worked fine for several month. Yesterday I had to shutdown my computer hard since it had froze solid. Today I ran into trouble: cryptsetup isLuks /dev/device_of_home_partition claims the device is not a LUKS partition at all and cryptsetup luksOpen /dev/device_of_home_partition somename fails as well, informing me that the device is not a LUKS partition. Other LUKS partitions still work fine. Is there a way to flag a partition as "being LUKS" without damaging the master key and keys stored? Is there any chance to get my data back without resorting to my backups? I am running ubuntu/gutsy on a x86 box. Kernel currently is 2.6.22-6-generic from ubuntu.
