dm-crypt and UUID instead of /dev/xxx

Hi,

is there a way to initialize the luks disks with the UUID instead using the
/deb/hdb1 entry?

I written a small GUI to manage the diks, but some are USB disks and the dev
entry changes sometimes.

Is there a programm that shows me all the disks that are encrypted?(like the
one that detects the disks on gnome start).
I would like to add autodetection to my tool.
