Hi, I've just setup dm-crypt and I'm finding that my system freezes for 1-2 seconds every 10 seconds or so, when writing out to an encrypted partition. The mouse pointer stops moving and I can't type anything. I found a thread about this from November last year: http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.kernel.device-mapper.dm-crypt/1940 The solution in that thread (to renice kjournald) doesn't seem to work for me. I'm seeing this on an old P3 and a new dual-core laptop, both about as bad as eachother. Both are Debian; I've tried the standard Debian kernel (2.6.18) and vanilla 2.6.20. I can't find many other complaints about this - is it normal behaviour?
