There is a patch for using the dm-crypt with acrypto or OCF. Both gives support for different HW accelerations. Check the attached dm-crypt patch for OCF for kernel 2.6.12. Hi, is there dm-crypt (or any other harddisk encryption tool) support for hardware encryption acceleration ? I came accross the soekris project which has support for VPN hardware security accelerators (vpn1201 and vpn1211) link: http://www.soekris.com/vpn1201.htm There seems to be no AES but e.g. Triple-DES support which might be used for disk encryption. Currently there is full support on OpenBSD and FreeBSD. Linux support is under development (see http://www.soekris.com/support.htm). Then there is another promising project: The kernel accelerator device (KAD) link: http://www.openhardware.de/digital/kad/ Unfortunately, there are currently only 2 guys working on the project which means that there will be no working KAD in the next time ;( greets, Stefan --------------------------------------------------------------------- - http://www.saout.de/misc/dm-crypt/ To unsubscribe, e-mail: dm-crypt-unsubscribe@xxxxxxxx For additional commands, e-mail: dm-crypt-help@xxxxxxxx
