hardware acceleration for dm-crypt or similar harddisk encryption software ?

Hi,

is there dm-crypt (or any other harddisk encryption tool) support for hardware
encryption acceleration ?

I came accross the soekris project which has support for VPN hardware security
accelerators (vpn1201 and vpn1211)
	link: http://www.soekris.com/vpn1201.htm

There seems to be no AES but e.g. Triple-DES support which might be
used for disk encryption.
Currently there is full support on OpenBSD and FreeBSD.
Linux support is under development (see http://www.soekris.com/support.htm).

Then there is another promising project: The kernel accelerator device (KAD)

Unfortunately, there are currently only 2 guys working on the project which
means that there will be no working KAD in the next time ;(

greets,
Stefan
