The above changes are unrelated to $subject. Also, the same could be
accomplished by varying the range check in the for loop, making the
change POV. The warning is both unacceptable and unnecessary.

The above change silently drops the configuration of
MAX6639_REG_FAN_CONFIG2a, which is puzzling since the patch
also introduces MAX6639_REG_FAN_CONFIG2a_PWM_POL which isn't
used. I don't see what this has to do with $subject, and the
lack of explanation is not really reassuring.

Unrelated formatting changes above. Such changes just obfuscate functional
changes made in the patch and are unacceptable. If you want to fix
checkpatch issues, do it in a separate patch.

I am stopping the review here. In the future, please refrain from making
unrelated changes. One logical change per patch, please.
