Hi,

thanks for all the feedback.

From my personal point of view, ideas narrow down to two possible names:
1. label-mac-device
2. net

I excluded any of the examples implying an ordering of devices (also my initial primary-mac-address) due to the reasons named in my earlier e-mail (label address is arbitrary, no ordering implied ...)
Despite that, I've come to the opinion that one should not call it *mac-address, as it refers to a device. The *mac-address name should be reserved in case someone will actually refer to an address in the future.

For the two remaining candidates, I can live well with both and still don't consider one really great.
If I had to decide, I would choose the first with a weak 60:40 preference.

What do you think?

Best

Adrian
