Hi all,

Hi Julien,

With Cyrus SASL 2.1.24rc1, I obtain on the GCC Compiler Farm gcc40 machine the following error at configure time:

iulius@gcc40:~/autobuild/src/cyrus-sasl-2.1.24$ ./configure
configure: creating cache ./config.cache
checking build system type... config/config.guess: unable to guess system type

This script, last modified 2001-07-12, has failed to recognize
the operating system you are using. It is advised that you
download the most up to date version of the config scripts from

    ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/config/

UNAME_MACHINE = ppc64
UNAME_RELEASE = 2.6.26-2-powerpc64
UNAME_SYSTEM  = Linux
UNAME_VERSION = #1 SMP Thu May 13 07:29:31 UTC 2010
configure: error: cannot guess build type; you must specify one

Could you please upgrade the config.guess file? It is 10 years old.

Do you know if it is possible just to update config.guess and not the rest of libtool/automake/etc.?

Best Regards,
Alexey
