loop-AES: struct module not found - kernel tainted

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

I am using loop-AES for over a year now (for some
weeks even with encrypted root partition). It's
perfect! Well, I recently discovered that the kernel
gives a warning about getting tainted when I load the
loop module:

loop: no version for "struct_module" found: kernel
tainted.

I cannot remember that this message has been there
before. Since it is obviously free, open source
software, the message should not be necessary, right?
How to get rid of it? Or did I possibly select some
wrong option in my new kernel configuration?

Thomas
