Encrypted root with loop-aes on a server?

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,

has anyone successfully encrypted a server, like in example
7.5. Example 5 - Encrypting root partition?

It would mean that the server boots up, then somehow waits for the
password to open the GPG keyfile.

Then you connect, for example, by SSH, you see a prompt, enter
the password and the server boots through.

Would be nice to know if anyone was successful doing that. Reason for
that would be, Server is in a server center somewhere, hard to reach.
