/sbin/losetup -e aes-256 -p 0 /dev/loop0 /cf/xcf0

or

/sbin/losetup -e AES256 -p 0 /dev/loop0 /cf/xcf0

don't remember - too many changes - but the only thing i've changed was "AES256" / "aes-256"

| > | > Can you try adding one of these options to losetup? | > | > -H rmd160 | > -H unhashed1 | > -H unhashed2 | | I quickly looked but didn't find mount-aes sources. But inspecting losetup | binary looked like it was from old version of loop-AES. | | If all other attempts fail, you can still wget the binary package, and | extract the files of the package to some directory, something like this: | | dpkg -x mount-aes_2.11x-1_i386.deb z | ./z/sbin/losetup -e AES256 .........whatever

i've tried all available losetup binaries without scuccess. with some combinations of losetup and aes-256/AES256 i get the folloeing errors with losetup:

Unsupported encryption type aes-256
ioctl: LOOP_CLR_FD: No such device or address
ioctl: LOOP_SET_STATUS: Invalid argument

any further suggestion ?

TIA
