If Jari is seeing a race condition in the VM layer though, it
might just be that his code happens to hit a bad window and
"ours" hasn't... yet. He may just simply be the first one
to tickle it the wrong way. 

I'm sure he'll jump on whether this is likely or just
worry on my part. I also don't envy him. Races can be a bitch
to track down.
