Not Herbert, but I've been running CryptoAPI on filesystems and swap
under 2.4.20 for some time now, with no problems. (And before that,
2.4.20-rc1, 2.4.20-pre7, and 2.4.19).

Specifics:
kernel 2.4.20 (with ACPI and preempt patches)
cryptoapi 0.1.0
loop.c patch from loop-AES 1.7a
