One possible problem is that your switch doesn't properly support multicast or jumbo frames. I suggest ensuring your MTU on all machines is 1500 to test the jumbo frames possibility. I have seen many switches advertised as jumbo frames which fail to operate properly in multicast or heavy broadcast environments.
