Are the nodes currently connected to a MC-LAG switch setup? Or a single switch?

One ToR per rack? You might create a bond and do BGP over that bond.

Two ToR per rack: Create two point 2 point connections (/31) between the hosts and the tor-switches and set them up as BGP Neighbors. See [1]. That might be a good starting point.
