Out of curiosity I tried the 'ceph' command from windows too. I had to rename librados.dll to librados.so.2, install a readline replacement (https://pypi.python.org/pypi/pyreadline/2.0), and even then it completely ignored anything I put on the command line, but from the ceph shell I could do thinks like 'health', 'status', 'osd tree', 'osd lspools', 'auth list', etc. I thought that was pretty neat.
