I find Fedora makes an excellent desktop OS as most people like the
latest and greatest on their desktops and are willing to deal with a
major upgrade every 18 months to get it.

I like CentOS on my servers. Redhat compatibility gives wide third
party support and the extended lifetime makes sure I do not have to
perform a major upgrade on those every 18 months.

Having both Fedora and CentOS in my environment means there is a common
base compatibility between the two.
