If I remember right (it's been a while), if your SCSI/HBA module (e.g. qlaXXXX) isn't in use for any other devices rmmod then modprobe-ing it will cause a re-read of the partition tables. If you have multiple LUNs mounted via the same device I think there are scripts you can use to re-probe available devices and their partition tables.
