In /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins there is a symlink from libjavaplugin.so to /usr/lib64/IcedTeaPlugin.so I changed that to point to /usr/java/jre1.8.0_144/lib/amd64/libnpjp2.so but I got the exact same results.
