Using mirror.centos.org is OK. We have added some mirrors (that are
controlled by CentOS.org) to the mirror list. You might still find that
a local mirror is faster, and we still recommend that you use a local
mirror. We are currently testing an auto configuration script for yum,
but haven't released it yet.

If there are any ISPs or other users (Universities, major Corporations,
etc.) who use CentOS and want to give back by donating a machine that
the CentOS team can use as a mirror server (and to host bittorrents for
iso downloads), please contact us at lance.at.centos.org,
donavan.at.centos.org, or johnny.at.centos.org (use @ for .at.). We are
always in need of more bandwidth :)

I would like to take this opportunity to thank those who have donated
servers to the CentOS team. I'm sure I will forget someone and Lance can
correct me :) :

If I forgot anyone, I apologize in advance.

If you are a donor and have not provided donavan (donavan.at.centos.org)
with a banner (size 468x60) and a spotlight image (size 60x60) for us to
use to advertise your site, please do. We appreciate your donation and
would like to send you potential customers from the centos.org site.

Thanks,
