I've had it happen now on both RHES4 and CentOS4 -- it doesn't stop 
there with printer junk, the "checking dependancies" pulls in a lot of 
crap that I specifically deselected (kernel-smp-devel comes to mind). Go 
figure - here I thought I knew what I was doing after 10 years.
