Dag, this seems confusing to me...

In this first sentence you say the kmod-ath5k does have a problem when 
the interface is brought down.

In this next sentence however says that it (kmod-ath5k) is not where 
this issue is but rather it is in the ath5k backport for 
2.6.18-141/2.6.18-144.

I am lost does this happen on the kmod-ath5k or not?

Can you help clear this up?
