I believe Dag is saying yes it does happen with kmod-ath5k driver.

kmod-ath5k from elrepo.org is a direct backport of the driver present in 
2.6.18-141 so they are identical. Any issue suffered by the driver in 
2.6.18-141 will also affect kmod-ath5k from elrepo.org.

I think Dag was trying to say the problem isn't specific to the kmod 
version of the driver, but that it happens with the ath5k in 2.6.18-141 
and 2.6.18-144 as well.
