I avoid Ubuntu for a number of reasons, including its reputation for instability, which has been noted by a number of commentators including former Ubuntu developers critical of the release process. Arch, CentOS, Debian or Fedora (among others) would, I think, be better options. I think Ubuntu are doing interesting work on user interface development with their Unity desktop environment. I also think it's unfortunate that they are taking their own direction with the Mir display server and in other areas, instead of working with the rest of the Linux community more cooperatively. In the end, I don't subscribe to Mark Shuttleworth's vision, and I suppose that's where I part company respectfully with Ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Blinux-list mailing list Blinux-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/blinux-list
