I'm not really much of a programmer, but +1 for more audio games running
on Linux. I also know of another place for Creative Commons sound files. Try
http://www.freesound.org
I even found some cool things there that I use as ring tones on my
phone. Seems to be all very good quality sound files, and a very good
selection. And as long as the license is documented, there's no problem
using them in games.
