First of all, thanks for your input in this thread.

Looking back now, I definitely forgot to mention a few
pretty important things, but it was still fun to present the topic.

If audio recordings do become available I will let you know as well.

Now, the question is, do we have some interested people
to write a few small free software audio games for Linux?

It seems OpenAL is a nice starting point for audio games at least.

There should be plenty of free samples on the next to use,
I just recently stumbled across a creative commons licensed
sample collection by the OLPC people which really sounds promising:
