M-Player-and-dot-Mod Files?

I would love to be able to play .mod, .xm, .s3m type files in mplayer.  Reason 
is that mplayer has a graphic equalizer, which my mp3blaster sound-card does 
not.  So can some1 please tell me, is their a plugin I can get for mplayer to 
play these files?  When I was in DOS I used Cubic Player-and-I have tried a 
Linux version, but found it confusing.
Here in FC9, running mplayer
