mplayer install problem

I was doing this on a debian box and got the mplayer built and downloaded 
the all-20050412.tar.bz2 codecs from xmission.com and tried using the 
player once that codecs was installed and was told 
/usr/lib/win32/avisynth.dll couldn't be found.  Is that particular dll in 
the essential codecs and perhaps the codecs procedure just needs a little 
expansion?
