A friend of mine who is having a n account on my machine, has resolved
the problem, but he told me that probably Trplayer is becoming obsolete
at my following update of the system;
he recommends to use Helix, see http://helixcommunity.org/
but I prefer using .deb packages if they exist; or if no other solutions
work, i will rebuild a mplayer package from sources, and include all
what is currently available as codecs for it.

Thnx.

Aldo.
