Actually, I downloaded the Oralux CD and burned it.  IT HAS BRAILLE!  
COOL!!!!!!  It is a little hard to actually get working, but it's there.  
You have to exit from Emacspeak sith c-x c-c.  then "su -" and then start 
brltty the way you normally do.  There is no root password, so root 
access is granted the second you "su -." Then you can just "logout" and 
you will be back at your user prompt, (knoppix@xxxxx[knoppix]) or 
something like that, and you can continue operating from the console.
