I now have a working linux on my pc. Linux detected and configured my soundblaster 32 card. When I type play followed by either a wav or au filename, i get sox can't open outputfile /dev/dsp chapter9 of the redhat "getting started" manual tells me how to configure a soundcard by either <a> using the x-windows-based sound config utility b> editing my modules.conf editing the modules.conf only works if you have an isa card, and my soundblaster32 is a plug and play card. I can't run x-windows for obvious reasons without sighted help. How can I get sound up on this machine?
