If you use debian, there is an installer for mplayer but it's not a part of the actual distribution. It's at: www.birme.se/mplayer/ and it downloads the mplayer package and compiles and installs it. I've done that but haven't tried it out yet so don't know if I did it successfully or not. Cheryl
