BUYING A COMPUTER FOR LINUX

Michael:

1.)	There's a list of supported hardware on the Red Hat web site. Go
to:

	http://www.redhat.com/support/

and bookmark it. When you're ready to buy, look at it again. In fact, you
might want to take a printout to the store with you.

2.)	ADSL works splendidly over Linux. Your provider may not know
anything about it, but don't take their word for it. At some point, DSL is
just ethernet, and Linux has ethernet in its genes.

3.)	Surely the U.K. has shops that can build a computer to spec? If
not, I'm sure our U.S. shops would be happy to equip a machine with a U.K.
power supply for you.
