Installing lynx

Thank you very much!
I have another question, maybe a little complicated.
I would like to install my internal modem on the Linux machine.
I guess I will need Linux drivers for it and I will search for it, but:
1. If I won't have a readme file about how to install the driver, how should
I do it?
2. If I won't find a driver, can I make something to be able to use the
modem, to install something like a standard driver that could work with more
modems, etc?
3. If I can't do anything to make it work, is it possible to use the
internet if I have 2 computers in a network, one with Linux and one with
Windows 2k, and the computer with Win 2k has a modem installed?
I want to connect from Windows, if it is not possible from Linux but the web
server I want to test (Apache) is under Linux.

Thank you!

Not true. I do not mind newbie questions, just don't like spam or
completely unrelated questions.

The file under Redhat 7.2 you are looking for is lynx-2.8.4-17.i386.rpm.
It's on a second disk. Assuming you mounted cdrom under /mnt/cdrom you
need to do the following

rpm -ivh /mnt/cdrom/RedHat/RPMS/lynx-2.8.4-17.i386.rpm

to install the application. If it's an upgrade then you follow the
instruction mentioned previously. Also, there is a program called rpmfind
which helps you find rpms over the net. You may want to install that one
too, rpmfind-1.7-2.i386.rpm.

If there are problems with dependencies then you need to install whatever
else is needed. For new Linux users I strongly recommend to install
everything to prevent from problems with chasing files and their
dependencies. That's much easier in Debian but that one has other problems
which make it just as bad as Redhat or any other distribution. Too much
automation can hurt you too.
