Why not install OpenSSL, and patch your copy of Lynx? The current OpenSSL
will handle 128-byt encryption.

Subject: Bookshare.org and SSL

Hello,
I have been told that to download books from bookshare.org one needs a
browser that uses SSL. This means that Lynx cannot be used. Is there a
text-mode Linux browser that does use SSL? I would hate to have to use
Internet Explorer.
Thanks.
John
