Hi, Install and use fetchmail. It puts your retreived mail into the mailbox of the executing user. What i found is that the pine that comes with redhat is compiled with 'n feature that disallows the sending of mail with another from field as the one of the user one is logged on as. Thus, create a user with the same name as the one at your isp to save you some trouble. Doing offline mail with pine when the smtp server is set to the isp's smtp server did not work for me.
