Thanks for the input.

I was on Podman prior. Only GitHub Actions do not yet support Podman, hence docker.

I did try adding 'INHERIT_remove = "uninative"' which got it past u-boot failure, and then hit same failure on a later recipe.

Qemu x86_64  emulation build works just fine;  Ubuntu 20 via docker, master and 'INHERIT_remove = "uninative"'.

Thanks for the Dockerfile, I tried to reproduce your issue
context Fedora 34 + podman ubuntu 20.04.

I use the Dockerfile to start a u-boot build for m3ulcb and indeed I faced the same issue.
"Inconsistency detected by ld.so: dl-call-libc-early-init.c: 37: _dl_call_libc_early_init: Assertion `sym != NULL' failed!"
Trying to start srec_cat built from srecord-native recipe gives the same issue.
Second try, rebuilding srecord-native out of AGL and meta-renesas with poky + meta-oe (dunfell).
-> same result srec_cat fails to start.

I tried again with systemd-nspawn instead of Podman to start an Ubuntu 20.04,
then compiled srecord-native again (poky + meta-oe dunfell).
In this case the resulting srec_cat is working.
